As a Christian, I have witnessed first-hand the stigma associated with members of the congregation seeking professional help in the mental health sphere. If it is socially acceptable to go to the doctor when one is ill, why is it so taboo to reach out for help when it comes to our mental state. I strongly hold on to the principle that there is nothing to be ashamed of when asking for help in general, but especially when it comes to wellness.
In my 11 years of faith, I have experienced trials and disappointments, and have learned to lean on my faith for strength. I have seen first-hand the mighty power and compassion of God, and subsequently, His ability to change lives. My passion is to help believers in seeking counseling from a Christian perspective.
I have experience working with first-time clients: ranging from teenagers, young adults, and members of the senior community. I am well versed in working with individuals from various ethnic and socio – economic backgrounds. I offer sessions in both English and Spanish.
