Faith-Based Counseling

Welcome to Our Faith-Based Counseling Program!

Are you a person of faith who is struggling with emotional burdens, or harmful behaviors, that are stealing your joy? Are past experiences impairing your current relationships? Are you struggling to cope with a challenging situation in your life? You know life shouldn’t be like this, and that you were created for something better!

The goal of The Well BH’s Faith-Based Counseling Program is to create a safe space where you don’t have to separate your spirituality from your mental well-being. Clinicians in our Faith-Based Counseling Program are trained to integrate evidence-based therapeutic principles with biblically based pastoral counseling practices. Our counselors want to create a place for you to fully examine all aspects of your story, including your faith, in a way that helps you feel valued, comforted, and empowered, without judgment.

Faith-Based Counseling FAQ's

Faith-based counseling integrates your spiritual beliefs with evidence-based therapeutic practices. It acknowledges the role of faith in shaping your experiences and values, while offering professional support for mental health concerns.

  • Explore the connection between your faith and your mental health: A faith-based counselor can help you understand how your beliefs influence your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This can be especially helpful if you’re struggling with issues like anxiety, depression, or grief.
  • Develop coping mechanisms rooted in your faith: Your counselor can work with you to identify spiritual resources and practices that can help you manage difficult emotions and navigate challenging situations. This might involve prayer, meditation, scripture study, or connecting with your faith community.
  • Find hope and meaning in the midst of difficulties: Faith can offer a powerful source of strength and resilience when facing life’s challenges. A faith-based counselor can help you reconnect with your spiritual values and find meaning in your struggles.

If you’re looking for a counseling approach that respects your faith and values, faith-based counseling may be a good fit for you. However, it’s important to find a counselor who is licensed and qualified to provide mental health services, and who shares your core beliefs.

Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. If you’re struggling with your mental health, please reach out to a faith-based counselor or other mental health professional. You don’t have to go through this alone.
